Dear Community,

As of late, I believe things have grown out of control a bit. For this I apologize whole heartily.

- Our servers are running in top form, we are getting great turn out during public events. But sometimes the proper etiquette is not provided by certain individuals.

This is not just speaking about me, but the team in a general outlook.

With the release of Left 4 Dead 2 we lost all common decency and gained the typical "deal with all new people again" syndrome. Which has caused a few of us in the Administration position to become cold, not meaning to be harmful to the community. But as the usual basis for how online gaming goes, it gives a platform for bad habits to form.

This DOES NOT mean it is/was right, this means we are not machines marked with the Google on our feet. We are only human, while this may have been taken too far, I can assure you that things will return to normal.

Administration Detail

- There are certain objectives all admins need to take note of, along with working on these each day/week, we will be having weekly/nightly ADMIN only sessions and meetings. ( This is to provide me the platform that I may work more closely with each one of you. All members are allowed to join us, provided they request the password that will be put on the server. )

Be respectful to all members and general public that joins our servers. These are our PUBLIC servers. Meaning open to all to show our true nature. ( If you wish to play with your own rules, join one of our servers and rcon password it or use warmode cfg in menu. )

NO menu use at all during PUBLIC events/times. I don't want to see one slap, not one infected spawn. *This only applies to PUBLIC GAMES, not FRIENDS-ONLY.*

If I receive more complaints on a certain ADMIN abusing or not providing the required leadership, that user shall be put on a probation period. Under review and possibility of stripping certain menu selections from said leadership.

How people view us is a priority. We do not wish that certain immature issues give way for the general L4D public to see us as the noob community. One that doesn't govern itself nor provide skilled and varied teamwork. This is a major part of what SYNTHESIS is about, having someone that has your back and isn't going to bite your head off.

Getting back on track/in touch with our members. We used to run nightly Versus matches in which we received amazing turnout and gameplay. As of late, it seems that not many of the original crew are on board for such a task. Seeing as it was just released that are not comfortable with playing Versus, with the fear that they will be jested or smitten. WE want to change this, provide a safe haven for any new person to come in. I always try to help someone with achievements they didn't know about yet. Show obscure details or fun design aspects in the game.

We have strong teamwork skills, only we are not putting them to use. I feel as if we go challenged because we have not done proper training and exercises in the game. Which is all going to change. I have come up with sets of instructions and training we can all do to give us back our edge in Versus. "I would like to get a team up and running for a league but at this time, we have more childlike drama than actual serious players."

Profanity must be kept to a minimum, we do have some younger members and they do not need us cursing in their ears all the time. It is very unprofessional.

Training I was talking about. (We will be starting training sessions in late January for the Spring Season.)

I used to run Police/SWAT teams on role playing servers (Ol' skool RP, not DarkBS - 'The Specialists') With utmost precision, including nightly and weekly tactics seminars on how my members should act. I was literally asked if I was a real police officer, because of the kind of questions and responses I was giving.

But what this meant with training included entry methods and take downs. Points I am trying to make is that I had a dedicated team of 8+ that could storm a building clear each room with proper calls and SITREPs. Take down any hostage situation and role play the entire thing out and that was just HL1 engine. We actually have the right weapons and abilities to use SWAT related training to boost are chances of success in Versus. Covering more effectively, clearing and calling out rooms is a big point. It provides more communication between the team.

When to use kick or ban? This is determined by how grievous the action was.

If someone is friendly firing, or trying to hold you still with kit use. This is a Warning, then Kick able offense. The main point of this is, use best judgment. Know when people are just playing around, not every game is meant to be super cereal.

Use Warnings quite a few times before even mentioning the words kick. "Before one word come from your mouth/chat, stop and think for at least 5 seconds then decide on the situation if it was even worth opening the chat or the menu.

Banning, the reason we don't ban anyone. (1-2 in 6 months) Is we all have our moments where we are just playing for fun, it's not all serious and I hope that all members and administration takes note of this. Even with Left 4 Dead being a newer franchise, people still feel the need to act like they know everything. When 9 times out of 10, there are details even a year later you are still just noticing.

DO NOT act superior or dominate because of your position. You are a virtual go between for the end-user and our servers, maintaining support and giving them the impression that you are doing the job assigned which is having enough expertise in the game to provide assistance to others.

Our community grows apart as of late, but we hold strong. Everyone is finally finding that Left 4 Dead's gameplay gets repetitive pretty quick. So few ever bother playing anymore, I do admit to not playing as much anymore. For the sheer fact that I can't even find a full team for a Co-Op run.

I would just like to know, what does everyone play the most. So I know what to get a server for and continue our gaming family. I'm peaking at 122 games on STEAM. Statistically, some of you have to have at least a few of the ones I own.

I hope you take a look at this and realize that I do understand that there have been some unprofessional moments on my behalf, I do wish to apologize for my behavior. Hope we can work past it and continue our great team.

Believe me when I say, with this past 6 months just about gone. Assessment of our impact has proved to be positive.

We are at our highest, 179 Members. With 51 of them registered on the forums. We need to reform, get together and figure out our plan of action.

I need to know what games you guys play, so I can purchase another server and carry our friendships on.

Noticed this post was just chilling and figured I'd read for old times sake. Still a good read, for anyone that is interested. Glad I wrote it, cause it addresses issues we need to work on.
