| I am Arcane formerly known as Straight Edge. There's only a few things I care about when you play with me.
One is teamwork. Don't go running off acting like a goof and grieving the team. Yes, games are made to have fun. But it's not fun when you're the only one having fun when the rest of the team is ready to rip your head off.
Second is respect. I don't spew profane insults at others seriously so I expect them not to do that to me. If you want a verbal war, I will win, trust me on that. I won't stoop to your level and start screaming out the longest curse word in the English vocabulary but I will retaliate.
Third is maturity. If you are five or eight please do not play with me UNLESS you're mature. I don't have anything against children playing video games but I just don't want to hear the consistent ignorance in a child. "When are we going to get to the safe house?" We'll get there when we're there. "OMFG?! There's a glitch on my screen?! What do I do?! You're admin! What do I do?!" I'm an admin. I'm not Valve tech support. And it's probably due to your crappy video card.
Fourth is honesty. If you don't like someone tell them. If you're going to tell me when they leave, I will tell them what you told me about them especially if they're my friend, not because I'm a snitch, but because I feel like they have the right to know what is said about them.
Now a little about myself. My name is Edward. I'm 17 and currently a senior in High School. I will be starting college in July 2010 majoring in Computer Information Systems. I'll also try to juggle NYWC Wrestling Training at the same time. I'm pretty subtle and nice but I have my pet peeves and my limits. If you suck when you're gaming with me, I won't mind because it's just a game but if you suck and you scream at other people when they make a mistake then we have a problem. I've became admin of the Synthesis Community in July or August 2009 and I have no idea how I did it so please don't ask me. That is all.
P.S. - You can call me "Arc", Arcane, Edward, Ed, Straight, or Edge in game and I'll respond. If you call me something like "Yo A R!" I won't know you're talking to be therefore I will not respond. |

but i do have to agree on the maturity thing, the number one thing i hate hearing people say is "im so hyper right now" because basically in that one sentence you have told me three things:
1. youre obviously not mature/of the right mental age to be gaming
2. youre going to annoy the shit out of me for the whole fucking campaign or vs. match
and
3. i'm probably going to kick you sooner or later in the match |

Weening our users away from typical internet pitfalls is one of our concerns. Full sentences and useful discussions are our mainstay here. Hopefully, you will find something that peaks your interest.

| Thats a lie in itself, I may not always respond with full sentences. But the topic is the judge of how much or little you write. I'm not going to write a full paragraph or two for someone posting an image.
Otherwise, when somebody has something they are actually excited about and writing extensively. Then I try and respond back in a well thought out manner, giving ideas/thoughts or even research I've done myself on the topic.
So, please don't generalize my writings on here.  |
