C13NTZ IMed me to join his group. I actually did click on the link and it asked me to log into Steam Community. Seeing the ending root for the url is a bit suspicious, I actually opened a new tab and logged into the "legit" Steam Community using it's typical url www.steamcommunity.com. Now when I reached my control panel I clicked on the link again. It asked me to log in again and I closed the tab and IMed C13NTZ. After that he logged. My theory is that he's possibly been hacked and the person or "bot" is going around taking people's account info using the real Steam Community homepage to make the whole deal look genuine. The C13NTZ I know would never randomly IM me asking me to join a group and the "laddy.pt.tl" is a huge giveaway. Steam Community urls are always "www.steamcommunity.com/". I would just like to inform everyone not to log into that page.

yeah thats what happens when dumbasses like me go around not paying attention to links people send me. workin on gettin it back but my security password is in potuguess and not the answer i thought it was. this might take a while

yeah, i looked at the link AFTER i logged in... well i cant host for a couple more nights anyway so its not too big a deal

i got sent this to, after i tryed to log in but it didnt work, then after i saw the lady thing at the end i quick changed my password, but idk

they got my e-mail too XP sent requests to change my contact e-mail, security question (which would explain why it was in Portuguese ), and my password. well i guess we'll just have to wait and see how this ends. obviously other people have been tricked as well so i'm sure its not gunna be too big of a deal (hopefully)

No you will be fine, contact steam support, input some personal info to them and have them revoke the account back to you.

I've been getting those lately, I ignore them.

But a guy I was talking to yesterday was going to register http://www.steampovvered.com

Anyways, get your account back before they do some fucked up shit.

Now Im hacked. But the web page didnt pop up. It just freezed my computer, turned it of, then, when steam asked for my info when I turned it back on, it says I dont exist.

fyi, i got my account back Razz

as much as i've heard people say they hate steam support, i fuckin love it. steam has helped me with so many problems. steam itself may suck, but i will always stand behind their support.

i think the only reason people hate the steam support is cuz it takes around 18-24 hours for them to respond, but thats nothin. i care more about quality than convenience.

18-24 hours isn't all that bad. Most websites say at least one week.
